Double radiator cat bed: what actually decides the fit
People ask this because a double-panel radiator looks like a different object from a single one. For this bed it usually is not: the hooks care about the top edge, and everything below it is irrelevant to the fixing.
The ten-second check
Run a finger along the top of the radiator, front to back. You are looking for an open channel the hooks can drop into. On a double-panel radiator that channel usually sits between the two panels and runs the full length.
If your finger meets an open slot, the bed hooks on. If it meets a continuous closed surface, it does not — and no amount of adjustment changes that, which is why it is worth doing before ordering rather than at the unboxing.

The grille case, which trips people up
A lot of double-panel radiators ship with a top grille that hides the channel. It looks like a closed top and is not. On most models the grille lifts straight out, the hooks drop into the channel beneath, and the grille either goes back around the frame or stays off for the season.
This is the single most common reason someone concludes the bed will not fit their radiator when it will. Lift the grille before deciding.
Heat output: more panels, same principle
A double panel puts out more heat than a single of the same size, which is exactly why cats gravitate to it. The design answer is unchanged: the bed suspends the cat clear of the metal rather than on it, so what reaches the cat is rising warm air, not a hot surface.
The check that settles any doubt is your own hand. Put your palm flat on the top of the radiator at full output: if you can leave it there ten seconds without discomfort, your cat is fine. Both hooks, fully seated
The whole of the fitting is getting both hooks over the rim and down into the channel. The weight in the bed then presses the frame against the radiator rather than pulling it off, so the load works with the fixing rather than against it.
Check it by hand before the cat gets in. A cat tests a surface before committing, and one that feels movement on the first press leaves and does not come back easily — a rushed fitting is paid for with a lasting refusal.
Two cats, one radiator
The other reading of "double". Two cats that get on will share a wide post, and buyers describe exactly that. Two that merely tolerate each other will turn a single warm bed into the most contested object in the room, because whoever holds the warm high spot controls it.
